FoxPDF + your tools

A workbench your agent can use.

Keep the familiar desktop workflow. Add structured tools when the work calls for automation.

Start small

Discover first.
Then do the work.

The CLI lists complete tool schemas. MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, lets compatible agents discover and call those tools in an explicit local workspace.

These commands are verified against the development documentation. A public CLI is not released yet.

Development CLI examples
# List tool schemasfoxpdf-cli tools# Start headless MCP in your chosen folderfoxpdf-cli mcp --root ./documents

Choose the workspace

Start with a folder of documents you control. A compatible agent receives only the access you configure.

Inspect before changing

Discover available tools and inspect the document. Supported tools cover document information, pages, forms and more.

Verify and save explicitly

Review the result and save intentionally. Headless sessions and visible desktop sessions are separate. Use one writer per file.

Know the boundary

Local tools. Deliberate access.

The public website has no connection to a running FoxPDF instance. It exposes no desktop control endpoint or document access.

A third-party agent or model provider may process information you choose to give it. Review that provider’s settings and policies before using sensitive files. MCP does not make a third-party agent offline.
